Who We Are

Nick Diakopoulos is an Assistant Professor of Communication who conceived of AlgorithmTips.org and directs the Computational Journalism Lab at Northwestern. @ndiakopoulos | nad@northwestern.edu

Daniel Trielli is a Ph.D. student in Media, Technology, and Society (MTS) at Northwestern University. Daniel curates the database and edits the blog. @DanielTrielli | @dtrielli@u.northwestern.edu

Seungmok Baek is an undergraduate student in Journalism at Northwestern University. Seuy writes for the blog and does research to support the database curation.

Amy Yang is an undergraduate student in Communication Studies at Northwestern University. Amy wrote for the blog and did research to support the database curation. 

Alisa Gao is an undergraduate student in Communication Studies at Northwestern University. Alisa did research to support the database curation.

Support

Basic research to enable the scalability of Algorithm Tips is currently supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation. The database was originally developed with support from the Rutgers Institute for Information Policy and Law (RIIPL) and Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University.
